Mii fighters in Super Smash Bros for Wii U & 3DS can be dressed up to look like Nintendo characters.
The news was revealed by game director Masahiro Sakurai, who posted a screenshot on the official Smash Bros Miiverse page.
The screen shows two Mii characters fighting each other. One is wearing a Samus helmet, whereas the other is wearing Metaknight's mask.
Metaknight has yet to be confirmed as playable in the game, so it is as yet unclear whether these Mii outfits will only represent characters in the main roster, or will also include other characters who don't feature.
Confirmed returning playable characters include Captain Falcon, Ike,King Dedede, Luigi, Captain Olimar, Sonic, Princess Peach, Toon Link and Diddy Kong.
Making Smash Bros debuts in the upcoming games are Pac-Man, Mega Man and Animal Crossing's Villager, Wii Fit Trainer, Rosalina and Luma from Super Mario Galaxy, Punch-Out hero Little Mac, Palutena from Kid Icarus, Pokemon Greninja and Lucina and Robin from Fire Emblem.
The Nintendo 3DS edition of Super Smash Bros. is scheduled to release in October, while the Wii U version is slated for the holiday season.
